Encarna Soler
Encarna Soler is a Spanish ceramicist who lives and works in the small village of Senija, in the Marina Alta region. Her practice is deeply rooted in earth, fire, and silence. Trained by master potters from Spain and Japan, Encarna has devoted much of her work to the chawan—the Japanese tea bowl—an object she sees not just as a vessel, but as a gesture of presence and connection. Each piece is made with quiet honesty and a deep sensitivity to form, function, and ritual. Her work embodies the values Noir holds dear: reverence for craft, slowness, and the intimate dialogue between hand, material, and spirit.
